Laura Root, LCSW

Laura is a ‘Licensed Clinical Social Worker’ who specializes in treating depression, anxiety, grief/loss, mood disorders, LGBTQ issues and adjustment/transition issues.  She has been a clinical social worker in Boise, Idaho since 2001.  Laura has 18 years working with a variety of clients in her counseling practice.  In her free time, Laura enjoys spending as much time as possible in Idaho’s wilderness and other wild places.  Outside of work, Laura can be found doing daily hikes with her dogs in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter.  She believes her many years of having backyard chickens and fresh eggs are good for the soul.
