Laura Root, LCSW

Laura Root, LCSW is a ‘Licensed Clinical Social Worker’ who specializes in treating depression, anxiety, grief/loss, mood disorders, LGBTQ issues and adjustment/transition issues.  She has been a clinical social worker in Boise, Idaho since 2001.  Laura has a background in child protection, many years in medical social work and 17 years working with a variety of clients in her counseling practice.  In her free time, Laura enjoys spending as much time as possible in Idaho’s wilderness and other wild places.   Outside of work, Laura can be found doing daily hikes with her dogs in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter.  She believes her many years of having backyard chickens and fresh eggs are good for the soul.

Leslie Szasz MSW, LCSW

Leslie Szasz MSW, LCSW, is a ‘Licensed Clinical Social Worker’ who specializes in treating trauma, depression, PTSD, and anxiety. He is a certified ‘Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapist’. He has over 10 years of clinical experience. In his previous career with the FBI, he was the ‘Employee’s Assistance Program Coordinator’ for the Cincinnati Division. He was trained in crisis intervention and helped create a Safety Protocol for suicidal employees. He is currently working on earning a Certification as an Autism Specialist. He uses Client Centered approach based on the Rogerian model of positive regard for his clients. His clients are the authors of their treatment plans in terms of goals and objectives. He believes in working closely with clients to help them achieve their treatment goals. He lends support and encouragement in therapy without judgment.
